5 Strategies to Attract New Clients Part 1 Joint Ventures

I never completely understood why I liked Marketing so much. From the moment I opened my first business, I simply loved to learn about and try different marketing techniques. I read everything that was out there and to this day attend all kinds of marketing seminars.

Then one day someone told me why I have always loved marketing, and it all made sense. I believe it was Dr. Gandolfini who said, "Corey if you truly love what you do, then you must tell others about it."

Marketing is…

Sharing what you love to do with the rest of the world!

So you see, if you think you have a service or a product that you think the rest of the world needs, then it is up to you to learn every possible way to tell them about it (i.e. Market).  It is your moral obligation to be the best marketer in the world. That is if you love what you do.

Over the years I have tried all kinds of things! I started out by knocking on doors. That taught me that the marketer (the person) meant just as much as the marketing technique. I ran newspaper ads, I telemarketed by calling the phone book, I faxed everyone… anything to let people know about the amazing-ness that I had to offer!

Through all of this I have learned that pretty much every marketing technique works. If there is anyone in the world making a technique work, then you can too! Never say to yourself this doesn’t work for my profession, or my area... maybe not as well… but I am sure I can find someone in your area/profession that has made it work.

With that said I would like to share with you the 5 marketing techniques that have worked the most for me, and I am sure you can make them work for you too!

#5 Joint Ventures

This is one of the most effective, least expensive approaches out there. Odds are you have some customers, also known as a list. Odds are that there is another profession that markets to similar people that would love the opportunity to get in front of your list. Even more so, to get in front of your list with your recommendation.  Best part of this deal… they have a list too!  Odds are that their list has similar clients and you would benefit greatly from getting in front of them!

In Chiropractic we can work with so many: Medical Doctors, OBGYNs, Yoga instructors, Personal Trainers, Orthopedists, Lawyers, just to name a few.

A simple email sent out, or a letter of recommendation, or my favorite… a joint dinner.  They invite their favorite clients, you invite yours.

If this is done right, you come with a glaring recommendation to a list full of your ideal clients. You didn’t have to buy a list, and any money you spend is targeted and minimal.

So what you are you waiting for?

Find someone to do a joint venture with and start growing your business. Next week I will share Part II of My 5 Strategies to Attract New Clients…

But before that comes out, let’s get that joint venture rolling

Ready, set go!
