2 Questions That Are A Must To Evaluate Your Team

Have you ever felt a disconnect from your staff?

Racking your brain trying to figure out how it is that they are simply not getting their job done.

Frustrated they are spending time on things that are not a priority.

Do you fell like they are not fully engaged and nowhere near their potential?

The answer might be simple.

Your job description/role for them might not be the same as the one they designed in their mind.

Simple solution. Ask.

Here are two questions that have always helped me so much during my employee evaluations.

Can you explain what your role is at this company?

First you want to see if they describe their role the same way you would. If not, you have a huge DISCONNECT on your hands. Imagine how quickly you can have an impact on your company if you nee to get on the same page with your employees when it comes to their role. All you have to do is ask... define your role.

The second question if you want a fully engaged employee for a long time to come:

What would you like your role to be?

This is where you find out if:

1) Does your employee want a different role?

2) Do they see their future at your company?

We all lose employees from time to time that we wish we hadn't. We lose employees sometimes that we simply did not see leaving???

This question helps you quickly catch if someone is in the wrong role or if they do not see a role for themselves in the future.  If you want to keep them, time to move them or create a role.

Simple two questions...but tells you SO MUCH!!!

 Go evaluate your team.

Just a thot.
